Stuck in the Mud

For those of you who don't know, or even read this... I am moving to Las Vegas in January to student teach. And I am terrified. I found out Friday night, after getting and email saying I would find out on Tuesday. So I didn't even have time to mentally prepare myself . So, I kinda broke down on Friday. First because I was homesick, and second because I was afraid. I went to my old roommate's apartment and talked with her while watching Mulan. Why do Disney movies seem to solve every problem? I don't know whether I am ready for this, and sometimes I think I m too young to be doing any of this. I don't really want to graduate when I'm 20. I would much rather stay here in Idaho. Despite the snow... But I guess Heavenly Father has bigger plans for me. On Saturday night, my friend Loren came and picked me up because he knew I was stressed about student teaching. We went for a drive and just talked. It was so nice to talk about how I was feeling, and my uncertainties. During out drive, we got stuck in the mud. And if you will remember, Priesthood session was Saturday night, and Loren had just come from there. So he was in a suit. And he got covered in mud. While spending 2 hours trying to dig us out. I felt so bad. But some dudes with a truck showed up at 11 at night and towed us out. I don't know what they were doing out in the middle of nowhere, but that is proof that Heavenly Father answers prayers. On our way back to Rexburg, we applied our situation to life. Sometimes, we get stuck in the mud, and we feel like we can't go anywhere and are powerless to get out, but we have to persevere, and Heavenly Father will send help. Loren said something profound, that makes more and more sense whenever I think of it. He said: "Easiness and happiness ain't synonymous. You gotta have growing pains." Such is life. I may not like it (let's face it. I hate it.) but I grow so much from my trials. I am so grateful for my friends who are here to help me and talk me through my freak outs. I don't even know what I would do without them. Because they are fantastic.

On a happier note, I saw the Hunger games this weekend! And it was fantastic :)
