So lately I've been thinking about starting a blog because I'm not so great at writing in my journal, and a lot of things happen that I definitley want to remember, and I figured I would be more motivated to actually write things if other people read them... So here we go! I'm in my second semester here at BYU-Idaho, and I absolutely love it!! I have been so blessed to have the best roommates ever. My room roommate is Jenn, and we have decided that we are going to room together until one of us gets married. Jenn insists I will get married first, but I personally don't know. Jenn took me home for Thanksgiving break last year because Georgia is just a little too far. Another one of my roommates is Stephanie. Steph and I are going on our second semester as roommates, and she is awesome. She is from Florida, and she shares my disdain for the snow. Another one of my roommates is Taja, and this is our second semester rooming together too. Taja is the sweetest girl in the world, and I don't have any idea what I would do without her! Last semester, I had one roommate Monika, who was also from Georgia, and was more southern than I could ever be, in a good way. Another roommate last semester was Ruth, and Ruth was an awesome roommate! She loved to explore, and we would wander around campus exploring buildings whenever we had some free time. This semester I have Savannah and Julia instead of Ruth and Monika. Savannah is so excited about life, and it's pretty infectious. Julia is basically me in redhead form. It's a little scary how much we have in common. So that's the lowdown on my roommates this semester and last.
Jenn was out of town this week, so I had a lot of spare time to do some homework. What a fun way to spend my week and weekend... NOT!! Over the weekend, I spent a lot of time with Taja. We did a lot of homework. It wasn't so bad because we had the apartment basically to ourselves, and we were pretty productive. Mid-afternoon, we were starting to get antsy so we made some rice krispie and chinese noodle nests with whopper eggs and peeps on top for the girls we visit teach.

Friday night, Savannah and I were home, and I didn't have any plans for the night, so Savannah called dibs on me for the night. She needed to get some folders laminated, so we drove to alphagraphics, and afterwards we went and got some dinner. While we were out, Julia texted me and asked if I wanted to swing on the swings behind our apartment, and I of course said yes! So we went and got some dinner, and when I got home, Taja didn't have any plans, so she joined me and Julia on the swings. This is how we got some sweet pictures :)

Well, since you can see my boot in the above pictures, I guess I should mention that I broke my leg on February 22nd. I was walking to my child development class that morning, and crossing the crosswalk, I slipped on a patch of ice. Me being me, I got up and walked (more like hobbled) to the Clarke building, which was 2 buildings away from where I slipped. I decided that I couldn't go to class, so Taja came and got me. I sat on the couch icing my foot for 2 hours before my mom called and asked why I hadn't gone to the health center. I didn't have an excuse, so she made me go immediately. Taja drove me there, and at this point I still didn't know that my leg was broken. So I get to the health center, and I go in only to find out that you can't walk in for an x-ray. Awesome. So in the meantime, I went to class. And then I walked to the health center, which happens to be down a hill from where I had class. Hills are very painful on broken legs. Just saying. So I got my leg x-rayed and they told me it was broken. I had to wear a boot for 3 weeks minimum before I could get it re-x-rayed and that appointment was last monday. Turns out I have to wear it for 2 more weeks. One week from tomorrow. I can't wait to get out of this boot! I miss having my own two feet and walking barefoot around the apartment.
Well, That's all I've got for now, but you can bet that I'll be updating this more often, because in the course of writing this blog, I have discovered something. I enjoy blogging! So I guess that's a good thing!
