25 days

Don't worry, I've had this countdown since basically the beginning of the semester. And I am so done! But in 32 days, I get to go to Alabama for one of my best friend's wedding reception :) I'm so happy for her! But I can do this. I remember when were were 50 some days away. And now it's only 25 days until I go home.. That's 3 weeks. I can totally do this!

Catching Up

Sometimes, I forget I have a blog. And when I remember, I should probably be doing homework. Like now. I'm a REALLY good procrastinator. In case you didn't know that about me. So I guess I'll fill you in on my life lately... I'm in my 6th semester here. And I am so incredibly and unbelievably done. Mom says I'm outgrowing this school. She's probably right. She usually is. I'm taking 7 classes worth 16 credits, and sometimes I feel like I am drowning in my homework. Mostly math homework. But that's a whole different story. One I don't really feel like getting into right now! I'm just counting down the days until I go home. 34. I have a countdown in my planner. But I also have a paper chain countdown in my room. See?

It's a lot shorter now. This is actually from the beginning of the semester.  And like I said before, I only have 34 days left here. And that's counting weekends! 

I called my dad today to wish him a happy father's day. And it's probably a good thing that it wasn't a very long conversation, because I was choking back tears by the time I said goodbye. My dad is so great, and he does so much for me. Like my graduation/birthday/christmas/I'm never allowed to ask for anything ever again present. That's not what he told me, but really... 

                                      

Isn't it beautiful? I can't wait to go home and see it. and my family. and my friends. A week after I get home, I'm going to Alabama for my old roommate Auvie's wedding reception. And I'm going to stay with the Willis family, because they are totally awesome :) They're basically like my 2nd family! And I get to go to a braves game this summer! I'm so excited! I've been going to the baseball games on campus this semester with my friend, sometimes, because she works there and we sit in the box. I worked the scoreboard this last time. It was pretty cool :)

In other news... I decided that I'm getting a dog when I graduate. Because I'm probably not getting married any time soon! haha. So, I decided that I am going to rescue a black lab because I love my doggy so much. And I think that a lab would be a good match for me :)

I hope you are enjoying your father's day, and that you took a minute to wish your dad a happy father's day. Because if he is anything like my daddy, he deserves a whole heck of a lot more than that.
